This Website provides information about the straight forward, solar space and hot water heating system based on a three coil unvented hot water cylinder and specific control electronics. The system maximises the use of available sun energy by storing it in a large cylinder of water providing hot water and dwelling heating backed up by a traditional boiler which can use gas, oil or electricity. Weather compensation is provided as standard in order to provide a comfortable working temperature throughout the day. The system is typically used in two aspects:
- Retro-fitting. Little additional space is required over the traditional hot water cylinder to install the system making it an ideal for fitting into already built property.
- New build. This system is ideal for new build houses where under-floor heating is installed along side traditional radiators.
Compared to a standard solar hot-water solution only a few, low-cost changes are required to heat the dwelling as well as water. A dramatic decrease in energy bills results decreasing the payback period for the whole system.
Typically the additional cost to heat the dwelling resulting from a slightly larger cylinder, different controls and change in plumbing, costs approximately an additional £3000.
The manual provides an over view of the system and details of a generic installation so that a competent plumber and electrician would be able to install the complete system in a dwelling without further information.
This system is covered by two patents: GBxxxx (granted) and GBxxxx (pending). Further information is available on the website.
TriSolarHeat has worked with two companies to provide a complete solution:
- Begetube Ltd. Designers and providers of under floor heating systems.
- OSO (UK) Ltd. Sole provider of the TryCyl.
