The general benefits of the TriSolarHeat system are:
- Planning permission is not required for solar thermal systems.
- The only electricity required is to run control electronics and pumps – all low power requirements.
- A large quantity of hot water is always available.
- The following graph shows results from our test house. Here we plot the quantity of gas required to heat the house both before and after the TriSolarHeat system was installed. Overall there is a drop in gas units of 41% over the year. The test house is of 1970’s bungalow construction with plated under floor heating (which is about 15% less efficient than screed floor) and the owner had a heart operation in November which resulted in increased living temperature. For a modern building (and no operation) we would expect a drop of 60% over the original use.
